Not for the faint of heart. But lemme tell ya... this is a great album. Yeah, Marilyn Manson made a bonafide GREAT album. Owing a lot of thanks to Trent Reznor (or Nine Inch Nails), who produced the album, wrote some of the songs and provided his own private studio for all the recording sessions, Marilyn Manson crafted a heavy, hard rock album brimming with depression, anxiety and, most importantly, anger. Make that ANGER! The standout track (amongst a collection of genre-defining songs) would have to be "The Reflecting God", an existential industrial rock masterpiece.
