Oh, how I love thee, Fresh Market.

Since you graced our quiet land with your presence some several months ago, you have teased me — tugging at my curiosity.

Once I crossed your friendly threshold and wandered slack-jawed around your beautiful little mart with its gentle lighting, we consumated our relationship with a simple, small basket of goods.

Since that moment, my eyes (and tastebuds) have only been promised for you and your bles-sed offerings.

Over the next few days, I will proclaim to the world the greatest of your gifts you have to offer.

It will be beautiful.

Ethereal beauty in shimmering tones and barely-there rhythms. This re-defintion of ambient music is more cast member than score in the under-appreciated Steven Soderbergh masterpiece. Not only in my regular rotation for years now, but it's set my mood while writing the book.
