Swap Shop

Tuesday 11/15/2005 12:01 AM

In 2003, I had the opportunity to develop a new web site for the Leon County Swap Shop. This innovative government service operates out of the Leon County Landfill (yum! smells great!) and encourages citizens and companies to donate stuff like paint, varnish, bug spray, etc., to be used by others for free so none of it goes into the landfill.

After enjoying some success in Prague with cemetery and other long exposure shots, I was anxious to take some photos out at the Swap Shop.

Candy had the day off and joined me for the long drive out east of town. I spent about 30 minutes taking various pictures of the assorted bottles, cans and jars. Lots of the photographs turned out great, so it was really hard picking just one to show you today. I've saved a few others to use on slow blog days.

Tomorrow, medical tape. You can hardly wait, I'm sure.

P.S. I made a subtle change to yesterday's image. So if you looked yesterday, look again today and see if you can figure out what changed. I'll tell you tomorrow.
