Merry Christmas! (Unmeaning Flattery)

May you and your loved ones enjoy peace and happiness all day today and well into the new year.

And in movie news... I was pretty bummed to find out that Terrence Malick's latest flick, The New World, is not going wide until January 13th.

I really wanted to see it so I could write about it before the new year. Guess I'll have to settle for Munich.

David Holmes "Out of Sight Soundtrack"

While this is technically a Various Artists album, I never listen to the tracks that David Holmes didn't compose. So first I ripped those awesome David Holmes numbers to my hard drive. Then I edited out as much of the dialogue as possible (some of it is on top of the music, so I can't do anything about those). Then I had to add simple amplitude (i.e. volume) envelopes to the end of most of the songs because they cut from one into the other. Once I was done, though, my oh my. What a wonderful, funky, customized album for my listening pleasure.
