So I'm reading Hemingway for the first time in my life. Shannon recommended his Complete Short Stories. I've had it for a few months, but I finally cracked the cover last week and read The Snows of Kilimanjaro. Great story. If you haven't read it, it's about a guy dying of gangrene in a remote part of Africa.
I love this line from the story:
“After he no longer meant what he said, his lies were more successful with women than when he had told them the truth.”
Based on Shannon's next recommendation, I'm now working my way through a Nick Adams story.
