The Old Forty

I've been distraught about hitting the four decade mark yesterday. Candy tried to console me by telling me that 40 is the new 30.

“Bullshit,” I told her. “40 is the old 40.”

And in other news, my mom sent me the coolest book: Crooked Little Vein by Warren Ellis. Any book that begins with a guy waking to a rat urinating in his coffee cup is alright with me.

After inhaling the first chapter it's clear that this is a book I'm going to have to take my time with so I can savor every twisted little detail.
