![]() Philosophical remnants of a wooden retaining wall on Capital Circle NE. It was about 3:30 in the morning when I took this photo. (2009) File Under: I Took This Photo!; Panasonic DMC-LX1K Lumix Digital Camera; Photograph, Digital Manipulation/Composite; Quote of the Day |

This quote has been painted on a wooden retaining wall on Capital Circle Northeast for what seems like forever:
No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.
—Aesop
Now they are bulldozing the parcel and such, but for the time being have left the single part of the wall with the quote, while the rest of the wall and the earth it held back is all gone. A distinctive view, no doubt, and I had to get a picture. I wanted to shoot it at dawn, but I'm not big on early morning adventures. It was mush easier to drive over there at three in the morning after I finished some late night projects.
Had to do some digital cleanup to remove some of the noise in the image from the long exposure shot, but I think it turned out OK.
