Looks like the tuber made it.
It appears to have four, maybe five growing tips. Their survival is critical to the lotus flower growing correctly. When you plant the tuber, the tips have to be exposed so they can grow. The tips are actually infant leaves that will start to green, grow and spread out.
Next, I have to plant it.
P.S. You know that part in "You Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer where he says, "Hammertime!"? That's how you're supposed to pronounce, "Tuber Time!"
