Leaving On A Jet Plane
Sunday 02/25/2007 11:10 AM
If I depart on time, this blog entry will appear the moment my flight leaves. Off to Atlanta.
Here is my itinerary:
- Sun (2/25)
Arrive in ATL at 12:11 PM.
My buddy Mark (Borrow) picks me up and we hang out Sunday with his wife and 18-month (or so) year-old, Alex (short for Alexandra).
I crash at his place.
- Mon (2/26)
Mark and I do something (music at his place? go into the city? who knows?).
Monday night dinner with friends. It's looking like Tex-Mex of one sort or another.
I sleep over at Mark's again.
- Tue (2/27)
Mark and I hook up with my buddy John (Thobois — one of the best men at my wedding — other was my dad) for breakfast (where?).
Then John and I spend the morning and afternoon together until he has to go to work at Turners (John is an audio engineer, a real one who gets paid an everything!) around 3PM.
John drops me off at my hotel (Westin Peachtree) so I can enjoy an evening of peace and quiet until the family shows up.
- Wed (2/28)
My sister Shannon arrives (by car) with my nephew Alex around noon or so.
Alex and I take the Marta (Atlanta's version of the subway) to the airport to pick up Aunt Candy at 4:30 PM.
Dinner reservation for 7:30 PM at the Sun Dial so my nephew can eat at the revolving restaurant in the sky.
- Thu (3/1)
Hotel pool fun in the morning with Alex.
Switch hotels to Hilton Atlanta (Shannon has the conference rate). I'm told it's a block away from the Westin.
Georgia Aquarium! I have tickets for 1PM, plus tickets for the 4D theatre at 4PM.
Dinner at 7:30 PM at Benihana!
- Fri (3/2)
NO PLANS YET! I NEED SUGGESTIONS! Maybe the zoo
Afternoon at Little Five Points with Shannon and Alex and Aunt Candy.
I'm considering taking Alex to see the Thrashers (home game Friday evening).
- Sat (3/3)
Candy flies back to Tallahassee in the morning, while I drive back to Columbus with Shannon and Alex.
I have tickets to see Wolfmother in Columbus Saturday night.
- Sun (3/4)
I fly back to Tallahassee. Get some sleep.
I hope to post to the blog while I'm gone.
Smell ya later.
